Fr. Glen officially arrived at st. Hedwig in August 2004, but he made
his first "public appearance" at our annual church festival
in June, where he participated in raising funds - a good beginning!
Fr. glen grew up in St. Louis Park, attended Benilde-St. Margaret High
School and then the University of Minnesota. He entered the St. Paul
seminary in 1990. Prior to coming to northeast Minneapolis, Fr. Glen
was the pastor at St. Nicholas in New Market.
In addition to serving St. Hedwig, Fr. Glen is the pastor at St. Anthony
of Padua, Holy Cross serves as the canonical administrator to Pope John Paul II
Catholic School located at Holy Cross parish, and acts as chaplain to
Catholic Eldercare and River Village. One of his innovations was to
reintroduce a daily mass on Tuesdays at St. Hedwigs, which we have not
had since Fr. Ted retired. He alternates with Associate Pastor Fr. Don
Schwalm in celebrating weekend masses at St. Anthony and St. Hedwig.
